CEAT Ltd, the RPG Group’s leading tire manufacturer, has announced its Q3 FY25 financial results, which include significant revenue growth despite margin pressures. The company reported consolidated revenue of ₹3,299.9 crore, up 11.4% year on year from ₹2,963.1 crore in Q3 FY24. Revenue declined by 0.1% from the previous quarter.
Replacement and international business segments showed strong performances, driving growth in revenue. The OEM segment was on the recovery path. A balanced market mix in CEAT led to stable demand across its diversified product range of truck and bus, two/three-wheelers, and passenger car tires.
While revenue is up, margins have not held. EBITDA margins compressed to 10.5% for the quarter, versus 11.1% in Q2 FY25 and 14.4% in Q3 FY24. The drop was attributed to higher raw material costs that are compressing gross margins.
The net debt of the company was brought down to ₹1,835 crore in the quarter under review, supported by effective working capital management. Additionally, the company invested ₹280 crore in capital expenditure funded through internal accruals, thus committing to growth in the long term.
Margins have been battered, but the company is upbeat about sustained demand across key markets and improving operational efficiencies to support long-term growth.
