ACME Solar Advances Gujarat Wind Project with Additional 19.8 MW Commissioning

ACME

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has successfully commissioned an additional 19.8 MW capacity at its maiden wind power project in Shapar, Gujarat, bringing total commissioned capacity to 46.2 MW out of the planned 50 MW installation. This milestone elevates the company’s operational renewable energy portfolio to 2,826.2 MW, with full project commissioning expected within days.

Phased Commissioning Strategy Delivers Results

Following the initial 26.4 MW commissioning in May 2025, ACME Solar’s wholly-owned subsidiary ACME Pokhran Solar Private Limited has now achieved 92.4% completion of the 50 MW wind project. The phased approach allows for revenue generation during construction while optimizing operational efficiency across the installation timeline.

The project leverages Gujarat’s superior wind resource potential, positioning ACME Solar to capitalize on seasonal wind patterns while meeting long-term power purchase commitments. Power generated from the facility is sold under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, ensuring stable revenue streams throughout the operational period.

Integrated Development Model Enhances Project Economics

ACME Solar’s in-house Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) capabilities enable margin-accretive project delivery while maintaining quality control and timeline adherence. The company’s integrated approach encompasses end-to-end development and Operations & Maintenance services, contributing to industry-leading Capacity Utilization Factors and operating margins.

Power evacuation infrastructure includes a 33/220 kV pooling station with dedicated 220 kV transmission connectivity to Shapar sub-station. This infrastructure will support ACME Solar’s additional wind power project currently under advanced construction at the same location, optimizing capital efficiency through shared facilities.

The project financing through Power Finance Corporation demonstrates institutional confidence in ACME Solar’s execution capabilities and project viability. This strategic partnership provides access to competitive funding while supporting the company’s broader renewable energy expansion objectives.
