
Cipla Limited (NSE: CIPLA, BSE: 500087), a leading global pharmaceutical company, has announced that it has secured final approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) for Paclitaxel Protein-bound Particles for Injectable Suspension (albumin-bound), 100 mg/vial, Single-Dose Vial. This approval was granted on April 10, 2025.
Cipla’s Protein-bound Paclitaxel is an AB-rated generic therapeutic equivalent of Bristol Myers Squibb’s Abraxane®, a widely used injectable suspension. The drug is indicated for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer, locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and metastatic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas.

The company has announced plans to launch this product in the U.S. market during the first half of FY2025-26. This strategic move aligns with Cipla’s commitment to expanding its oncology portfolio and providing cost-effective treatment options to patients worldwide.
