KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major and an RPG Group Company, has announced securing substantial new orders valued at Rs. 1,016 crores across several business verticals. These orders were received in the normal course of business.
The order wins are highlighted by a significant milestone for the company’s Oil & Gas Pipelines business: securing its first order in the Middle East.
This initial foray into the GCC region involves a composite station works project, which Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd., noted opens up a “large and attractive market for future growth”.
Beyond this crucial new market entry, the company has bolstered its traditional segments:
- Civil Business: The Buildings & Factories (B&F) segment expanded its portfolio by bagging a maiden order for the development of luxury villas in Western India from a renowned real estate developer. Furthermore, it has strengthened its presence in the metals & mining segment by securing an order for an upstream project in Eastern India from a leading steel player.
- Transmission & Distribution (T&D): The core T&D business secured fresh and extension orders, including projects for 400 kV Transmission lines in the UAE and the supply of towers, hardware, and poles across the Middle East and the Americas.
- Cables & Conductors: This business segment also secured orders for the supply of various types of cables and conductors, catering to both the Indian and overseas markets.
Mr. Kejriwal expressed satisfaction with the order wins, noting that these additions have pushed the company’s Year-to-Date (YTD) order intake past Rs. 17,000 crores.
This figure represents strong growth of approximately 17% over the previous year, reinforcing KEC International’s confidence in achieving its ambitious growth targets.
KEC International operates across verticals including Power Transmission & Distribution, Civil, Transportation, Renewables, Oil & Gas Pipelines, and Cables & Conductors, with a global footprint spanning over 110 countries.
