Indian markets clawed back gains in a volatile session today.The Nifty 50 was able to maintain its position above 25,000, ending at 25,044, while the Sensex increased 158 points to settle at 82,055. Gains in ports, finance, and cement stocks helped offset the drag from energy and utilities.
Nifty 50 Gainers:
Adani Ports led the index with a 2.89% jump, closing at ₹1,389.50. The stock drew strength from volume-heavy buying and resilient sentiment in logistics.
In the face of robust retail interest, Jio Financial Services continued its upward trajectory, adding 2.85% and ending at ₹300.80.
Shriram Finance concluded the day up 2.09% at ₹676.05, helped by rising NBFC industry optimism.
Grasim Industries rose 2.06%, closing at ₹2,780.90, riding on firm demand in cement and textiles.

Nifty 50 Losers:

On the downside, ONGC tumbled 2.90%, ending at ₹243.92, as spiking crude oil prices and geopolitical worries weighed on the energy sector.
Power Grid also slipped 1.43% to ₹285.95, as investors booked profits after a recent rally.
Today’s gains were driven by strong action in industrials and finance, but the session remained cautious due to Middle East tensions and oil price volatility.
