
Today, April 10, 2025, marks a trading holiday for Indian stock markets on account of Mahavir Jayanti, a significant Jain festival celebrating the birth of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. Both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed for trading in the equity segment, equity derivatives segment, and SLB (Securities Lending and Borrowing) segment.
There will be no action in the commodity markets during the morning session as well. However, trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will resume in the evening session from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
