Zoho Corporation, under visionary leader Sridhar Vembu, redefined what leadership in a global tech company actually means. His simplicity shines in being the chief executive of a multi-billion dollar business. There are times one sees him roaming around in an auto-rickshaw and also living in the rural Tamil Nadu. He’s become an icon of humility and purpose. His grounded lifestyle and focus on sustainable growth resonate with the values investors seek, making Zoho a name that could shake the stock market if it ever decides to go public.

It is only for good reasons that the Zoho IPO will excite the market watchers, as the company is profitable, has a rich portfolio of business software products, and a clientele base in over 180 countries. Such an IPO from the company will dominate the headlines and get retail and institutional investors attracted in large numbers while setting a benchmark for future technology offerings in the country.

That, in turn would have tremendous spin-offs for Zoho’s growth trajectory. For instance, Zoho could globally expand more vigorously, increase development of its product, and expand its competitive benefit over industry players like Salesforce and Microsoft. Significant job creation also could result across India’s high-tech sector as well as several others.

But this is partly due to a sense of staying independent. Long-term growth for Sridhar Vembu is always considered above short-term market pressures. In fact, going private helped Zoho remain innovative and core-true-to principles like ensuring users’ robust privacy.

Be it going public or staying private, the fact remains Zoho has established itself as an entity in the tech world. For an investor, an IPO of Zoho would be well beyond an opportunity to raise their money-it will be an invitation to invest into a really innovative company that promises to rewrite history in the entire stock market itself.
