DPIIT Teams Up with SPF to Drive India’s Entrepreneurial Revolution


DPIIT, which is a ministry of Commerce & Industry, signed an MoU with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) for further strengthening the startup ecosystem of India .The historic collaboration would create novel opportunities for the entrepreneur fraternity, enhance global investor engagements, and organize immersive programs to usher in innovation.

Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of Startup India, underlined DPIIT’s commitment to create an environment which is supportive enough for startups and contributes to making India a hub of global innovation. SPF members, according to him, represent the Indian entrepreneurial spirit, and the new members will form a vital section in realizing India’s vision to achieve development milestones by 2047.

As these startups collaborate with international stakeholders in order to set Indian startups in the world map, DPIIT and SPF attempt to unlock such potential for further economic growth by the country.

In regard to this announcement, SPF President & CEO Shweta Rajpal Kohli said that DPIIT and SPF share a collective vision to craft a resilient, thriving startup ecosystem by equipping the entrepreneurs to create collaborations, for the establishment of India at the forefront of the innovation curve of the world.

WhatsApp Expands Payment Services

WhatsApp is all set to extend its payment service to each user across India through support extended by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). This will substantially increase the country’s ecosystem for digital payments and may bring more users to the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
