JSW Energy will supply Amazon with 180 MW of wind power through a newly signed agreement between its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy Limited, and AEI New Energy Trading Private Limited.
This agreement further solidifies JSW Energy’s position in the renewable energy sector, bringing its locked-in RE Commercial and Industrial (C&I) capacity to 4.0 GW. This includes 2.7 GW of JSW group captive capacity and 1.3 GW of third-party C&I capacity, incorporating the capacity to be acquired from O2 Power.
JSW Energy’s C&I portfolio boasts prominent clients like Amazon, DCM Shriram Ltd, and Indus Towers Ltd, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions to leading corporations.
With 8.2 GW of operational generation capacity across thermal, hydro, and renewable energy sources, JSW Energy is aggressively expanding its footprint. The company has a locked-in generation capacity of 30 GW and 16.3 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity. JSW Energy is aiming to achieve 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity significantly before 2030. This deal with Amazon marks another step toward achieving these ambitious goals.

While JSW Energy expands its renewable footprint, its Q3 FY25 consolidated net profit saw a decline of 27% year-over-year to ₹168 crore. Revenue remained relatively stable at ₹2,640 crore, slightly lower than ₹2,661 crore in Q3 FY24. EBITDA experienced a 9% dip to ₹1,115 crore, attributed to reduced short-term sales. However, net power generation saw a healthy 10% increase to 6,751 million units, fueled by strong growth in both renewable and thermal output. Renewable energy generation grew 18% YoY, led by wind (+38%) and hydro (+14%). Thermal generation also increased by 8% to 5.1 billion units .This agreement with Amazon marks another step toward achieving these ambitious goals.

India Braces for Heatwave, Farmers Worry About Crops:
Get ready for an early taste of summer! India’s weather experts are forecasting hotter-than-usual temperatures for February. This could spell trouble for farmers growing winter staples like wheat, rapeseed, and chickpeas. Regions like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh might see crops mature too quickly, leading to smaller harvests and lower yields.
As stated in Bhagavad Gita : (Bhagavad Gita 2.19)

अविनाशी तु तद्विद्धि य एनं न हन्ति हन्ति।
Know that the soul is eternal and cannot be killed.
9th February is celebrated as Super Chicken Wing Day!
