
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) (NSE: HINDPETRO, BSE: 500104) has announced the appointment of Shri Vikas Kaushal as its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective March 17, 2025. This appointment follows a letter from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG) dated March 7, 2025.
Shri Kaushal, a seasoned global leader in the energy domain, brings over three decades of experience. He is a chemical engineering graduate from Panjab University and holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Prior to joining HPCL, he worked with ICICI Limited and was a Partner at A.T. Kearney, where he played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth in India and globally.
As CMD, Shri Kaushal will lead HPCL’s strategic initiatives, leveraging his expertise in energy transformation and management consulting. His term is set for five years from the date of assumption or until further orders.
V. Murali, Company Secretary of HPCL, confirmed the appointment in a filing with the stock exchanges.
Vikas Kaushal’s appointment as CMD of HPCL marks a significant step forward for the company, bringing in leadership with deep expertise in the energy sector. His experience is expected to drive strategic growth and transformation at HPCL.
