Hero MotoCorp August Sales Jump 8% to 5.5 Lakh Units — Festive Boom Loading

Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has announced a significant 8% growth in dispatches for August 2025, signalling strong market demand heading into the festive season.

The company dispatched a total of 553,727 motorcycles and scooters during the month, up from 512,360 units in August 2024.

The robust performance was supported by consistent demand across both urban and rural areas, with the company recording 3.44 lakh VAHAN registrations (excluding Telangana data as of September 1, 2025).

Segment-wise Performance:
In August 2025, motorcycle dispatches stood at 501,523 units, while scooters saw a significant rise to 52,204 units, compared to 34,145 units in August 2024. Domestically, the company dispatched 519,139 units, contributing significantly to the overall figures.

Strong Global and EV Growth:
Hero MotoCorp’s global business also sustained its strong performance, delivering robust growth during the month and achieving a rapid year-to-date growth of over 40%.

Furthermore, VIDA, powered by Hero, continued its strong growth momentum in the country. In August, the electric brand recorded dispatches of 12,275 units and VAHAN registrations of 13,313, consistently driving market share gains for both the month and the fiscal year to date.

The company’s latest offerings, including the Xoom 125 and Destini 125, have garnered strong customer interest and are delivering outstanding performance. During August, Hero MotoCorp also launched the all-new Glamour X 125, touted as India’s most futuristic 125cc motorcycle.

Building on the Glamour brand’s legacy, the new model delivers a bold design, advanced technology, superior performance, and comfort.

Redefining the Deluxe 125cc segment, the Glamour X 125 is available in two variants: Drum at INR 89,999/- and Disc at INR 99,999/- (ex-showroom Delhi) across dealerships nationwide.

The forthcoming holiday season is expected to see a optimistic market sentiment. Favorable monsoons, rising agricultural demand, and anticipated increases in total spending as a result of upcoming GST changes are the main drivers of this optimistic prognosis. The company expects its recent launches to maintain this positive momentum.
