Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has announced a significant expansion of its strategic partnership with Tryg, a prominent Scandinavian non-life insurance company.
This expanded seven-year agreement is valued at €550 million. For Indian readers, this figure translates to approximately ₹4,950 Crores.
The objective is to simplify the European insurer’s IT landscape, standardise operations across its key markets in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, and accelerate its growth trajectory.
The collaboration extends a partnership that has already spanned over 15 years, with TCS having consistently contributed to Tryg’s transformation journey.
Under the terms of the new contract, TCS will take over all aspects of Tryg’s IT infrastructure, including cybersecurity, end-to-end infrastructure services, and application development and administration.
Tryg’s more than six million consumers will benefit greatly from this project, which is set to increase delivery capacities, automate key procedures, and improve customer satisfaction.
The company aims to simplify its IT landscape, enabling further investment in new technology and business development across Scandinavia, to deliver enhanced customer experiences, differentiate itself in the market, and strengthen its competitiveness.
TCS will play a crucial role in propelling Tryg’s ‘United Towards 27’ vision, which aims to simplify IT operations and build capacity for developing new digital solutions.
As a result of organic expansion and acquisitions, Tryg’s traditionally complicated IT landscape will be made simpler due to the cooperation.
Additionally, it will integrate automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve efficiency across the IT operations value chain and harmonize disparate operating models across several regions.
TCS will combine previously disjointed regionally dispersed services into a single digital-first operating model for Tryg’s three main markets in addition to optimizing the IT infrastructure.
