Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced that it has emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a significant project awarded by West Central Railway.
This development has been noted alongside a positive movement in the company’s stock, which registered a high quote value of 335.80, marking an increase of 2.35, or 0.70%.
The project covers the design, modification, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 220/132kV/2X25kV Scott-connected traction substation and switching posts with AT, including SCADA integration, between the BINA–RTA section of Bhopal Division (West Central Railway) to achieve a 3000MT loading target.
This substantial undertaking, identified under Tender No: BPL-PROJECT-EPC-2025-01, is valued at Rs 169,48,95,146/- (Rupees One Hundred Sixty-Nine Crore Forty-Eight Lakh Ninety-Five Thousand One Hundred Forty-Six), inclusive of applicable taxes.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity, West Central Railway, and the work is to be executed within a period of 540 days.
RVNL has confirmed that this order falls within the normal course of business for the company.
Further declarations, made in accordance with SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/CFD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/123 dated July 13, 2023, clarify that there is no interest from any promoter, promoter group, or group companies in the entity that awarded the order. Additionally, the order is not classified as a related party transaction.
