New Delhi, 25 September 2025 – NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced a significant expansion of its renewable energy portfolio with the successful commissioning of a new solar project in Gujarat.
In a regulatory filing, the company confirmed that 25 MW of solar capacity has been declared for commercial operation, effective from 27 September 2025.
The newly operational capacity is part of a larger 37.5 MW solar project located in Bhuj, Gujarat. This project is managed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, which is a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd..
This entity, in turn, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private, a joint venture in which NGEL is a partner.
This latest addition will directly impact the company’s overall power generation capabilities. Prior to this commissioning, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group stood at 7382.475 MW.
With the new 25 MW from the Bhuj project now online, the group’s total installed capacity will increase to 7407.475 MW.
The announcement was made to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (Scrip Code: NTPCGREEN) and the BSE Limited (Scrip Code: 544289). This development is a key update for investors tracking NGEL’s growth in the green energy sector.
This information was formally disclosed to the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
