The Life Insurance Corporation of India has officially announced the launch of two new insurance products, providing crucial details to the stock exchanges regarding their availability and categorization.

The new offerings, LIC’s Jan Suraksha and LIC’s Bima Lakshmi, are scheduled to become available for sale effective the following day, October 15, 2025.

The Corporation communicated this development through a regulatory filing dated October 14, 2025, addressing both the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd..

The first product detailed in the filing is LIC’s Jan Suraksha. This plan is classified as a Non-Par, Non-Linked, Individual, Savings, Life Micro Insurance Plan. Both new products introduced are specifically designated for the domestic market only.

The second plan, LIC’s Bima Lakshmi, is categorized as a Non-Par, Non-Linked, Life, Individual, Savings Plan. Like Jan Suraksha, LIC’s Bima Lakshmi is intended solely for the domestic market.
