Orchid Pharma Wins Lease Rent Case Against DBS Bank

Orchid Pharma has secured a significant victory as the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) dismissed a lease rent claim by DBS Bank, according to a BSE filing.

The tribunal’s order, dated April 2, 2026, was made available on April 10, 2026. This development brings relief to Orchid Pharma, which had been facing the claim during the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) period.

The NCLT order pertains to an interim application filed by DBS Bank, formerly known as Lakshmi Villas Bank, seeking lease dues for the CIRP period and Insolvency Resolution Process Cost.

However, the tribunal has now dismissed this application, providing a positive outcome for Orchid Pharma.

The company had earlier intimated the stock exchanges about the pending application. With the NCLT order, Orchid Pharma can now focus on its operations without the burden of this lease rent claim.

The order does not have any significant impact on the company’s financial or operational activities.

As part of its business, Orchid Pharma is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical products.

The company’s product portfolio includes a range of formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). This NCLT order is a welcome development for the company, which can now concentrate on its core business activities.

The dismissal of the lease rent claim by DBS Bank reinforces Orchid Pharma’s position in the pharmaceutical sector.

The company can now look forward to strengthening its operations and exploring new business opportunities.
