L&T Secures Mega EPC Orders for Steel, Iron Ore & Zinc Plants

Larsen & Toubro has secured multiple mega orders for its Metal & Minerals business, as per a BSE filing. The orders are from leading domestic metals and mining companies, reinforcing its leadership in delivering world-class engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions.

The first order is from a public sector company, India’s largest iron ore producer, for a package of the 18 MTPA Iron Ore Handling Plant in Chhattisgarh. The scope includes design and engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a downhill conveyor system, screening plant, stockpile, yard equipment, and associated auxiliaries.

The company has also secured various Design & Build and Balance of Plant packages for the expansion of a steel plant in West Bengal from 2.5 MTPA to 7.1 MTPA. Additionally, L&T has received an EPC order for a Zinc Processing Plant from a major private sector metals producer.

The order wins reaffirm L&T’s expertise in delivering complex non-ferrous metallurgical projects. Commenting on the order wins, Mr. S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director, L&T, said that this reinforces L&T’s enduring leadership in the minerals and metals EPC sector.

The order adds to L&T’s strong order book, strengthening its position as a trusted partner in developing India’s metals and minerals infrastructure. This order reinforces L&T’s position as a leader in the infrastructure sector.
