HCLFoundation Allocates ₹16.5 Crore to NGOs Driving Sustainable Development

HCLFoundation, the CSR arm of HCLTech (NSE: HCLTECH, BSE: 532281), has unveiled the winners of its 2025 HCLTech Grant, committing ₹16.5 crore to nine NGOs working across environmental conservation, healthcare, and education. The 10th edition of the grant program received 13,925 registrations nationwide, with three category winners securing ₹5 crore each and six runners-up awarded ₹25 lakh per project.

Transformative Projects Across India

In the environment category, Lokamata Rani Rashmoni Mission secured funding for its Sundarbans initiative, targeting biodiversity conservation across 40 villages in South and North 24 Parganas districts. The project promotes sustainable agriculture, mangrove restoration, and women’s empowerment through skill development programs.

The health category winner, Gurupriya Vision Research Foundation, will deploy mobile units under its “Vision on Wheels” campaign to eradicate childhood blindness caused by Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). The initiative aims to screen infants in over 10,000 villages across Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, providing early intervention and treatment.

For education, Raised Lines Foundation received grants for its “Touch Learn and Shine” project, which creates tactile learning resources to enable inclusive education in 38,400 villages. The initiative focuses on bridging accessibility gaps for visually impaired students through customized teaching tools.

The grant’s cumulative achievements include rejuvenating 245 water bodies, facilitating 23,703 institutional deliveries, and diverting 31,306 tons of waste from landfills. Environmental projects have reduced carbon emissions by 67,095 tons (CO₂ equivalent), while education initiatives have empowered 74,183 women farmers through regenerative agriculture training.
