Hero MotoCorp Invests ₹525 Crore in Euler Motors to Expand EV Portfolio

Hero MotoCorp Limited (NSE: HEROMOTOCO, BSE: 500182), the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has announced a strategic investment of up to ₹525 crore in Euler Motors Private Limited to diversify into the electric three-wheeler category. The investment will be made in one or more tranches and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2025.

With this investment, Hero MotoCorp will acquire approximately 32.5% equity stake in Euler Motors on a fully diluted basis through a mix of primary and secondary share purchases. Euler Motors, headquartered in New Delhi, designs, manufactures, sells, and services electric three- and four-wheelers across 30 cities in India. Its turnover for FY24 was ₹172 crore.

This move aligns with Hero MotoCorp’s vision to “Be the Future of Mobility” by leveraging sustainability and innovation to enter the rapidly growing EV market. Electric vehicles are projected to account for 35% of total sales in the near future, making this investment a strategic step toward unlocking adjacent business opportunities.

Additionally, Hero MotoCorp’s Board has approved the incorporation of a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013, dedicated to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
