Hindalco Industries has reported impressive financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, showcasing a remarkable 60% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, which reached ₹3,735 crore. This robust performance is largely attributed to the strength of its India business, even amid global economic uncertainties.
The company recorded a revenue from operations of ₹58,390 crore, marking an 11% rise from ₹52,808 crore in the same quarter last year. Consolidated EBITDA also saw significant growth, reaching ₹8,108 crore, a 28% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, Hindalco achieved record Aluminium Upstream EBITDA of ₹4,222 crore, up 73%, with an impressive EBITDA margin of 42%. Additionally, the Copper segment reported an EBITDA of ₹777 crore, reflecting an 18% increase.
In terms of segment performance, Novelis shipments were recorded at 904 KT, slightly down by 1%. However, Novelis revenue grew to USD 4.1 billion, a 4% increase driven by higher average aluminum prices. The adjusted EBITDA for Novelis was USD 367 million, down 19%, impacted by rising aluminum scrap prices and an unfavorable product mix. The net income for Novelis stood at USD 110 million, down 9%. Meanwhile, Hindalco’s Aluminium Upstream business in India reported a revenue increase to ₹9,993 crore, up 25%, with record upstream EBITDA at ₹4,222 crore.

Satish Pai, Managing Director of Hindalco Industries, expressed confidence in the company’s performance despite global challenges. He noted that the India Aluminium Upstream business achieved record quarterly EBITDA and highlighted the consistent growth in the downstream segment. Pai emphasized that Hindalco’s strong balance sheet positions it well for future growth and that its commitment to sustainability continues to gain international recognition.
Overall, Hindalco’s Q3 results not only reflect its operational excellence but also underscore its strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and sustainability in a competitive market landscape.
