Indian Markets on 3rd Dec: Sensex Surpasses 80K, Bank Sector Shines

Sensex: The Sensex closed above the 80,000 mark, that indicates a very strong buy sentiment in the market. This also marks the kind of renewed confidence that investors enjoy as buying activity has picked up almost across all major sectors.

Nifty 50 : The Nifty 50 closed on 24,457, noting a good rise and ending in green.
The top gainer in the index was Adani Ports, which rose by over 5%, followed by NTPC, which rose by more than 2%. Other key contributors included Adani Enterprises, Axis Bank, and SBI, all of which rose by more than 2%. Stocks like L&T, UltraTech Cement, and ONGC also played a crucial role in the index’s upward movement.

Bank Nifty :The Bank Nifty closed at 52,695, driven by strong performances from key banking stocks.
Canara Bank was the top gainer, rising more than 3.5%. Bank of Baroda rose more than 3%, and PNB, AU Small Finance Bank, Axis Bank, and SBI also rose over 2% to give a positive performance to the index.


Nifty Next 50
The Nifty Next 50 closed at 52,695, closing in the green.
The major pusher behind this increase was Union Bank, which rose by over 5%, followed by Ambuja Cements and DMart, which registered more than 4%. Stocks like Jio Financial, Canara Bank, ICICI General Insurance, and Bank of Baroda also supported the positive trend of the index.


BSE 200
BSE 200 ended the day at 11,280.
Torrent Power led the gains, as its stock surged more than 7%, followed by a 6% plus gain from Adani Ports. Contributors to the list were also Tata Elxsi, Union Bank, Ambuja Cements, and IGL, whose stocks rose by over 5%.

The overall market remained on an upward trend, as all major indices closed in the green. The Indian stock market showed broad-based strength today as Sensex reclaimed the 80K mark, signaling robust investor confidence.
