Nifty Falls Below 25,000; BAJAJ-AUTO, DIVISLAB Gain

The Indian stock market had a mixed session today. The Sensex slipped by 271 points to close at 82,059.42, while the Nifty 50 ended 75 points lower at 24,944.45. While frontline indices faced selling pressure, broader markets like the Nifty Next 50 held their ground with selective buying.

Nifty 50:

BAJAJ-AUTO topped the gainers list with a 4.10% jump. SHRIRAMFIN experienced an increase of 1.85%, while POWERGRID saw a rise of 1.35%. HEROMOTOCO added 0.89%.

On the losing side, ETERNAL dropped 3.06%, GRASIM fell 2.90%, INFY declined 2.01%, and TATACONSUM slipped 1.54%. DRREDDY and TCS also posted minor losses.

Bank Nifty:

Among the gainers, PNB led with a 2.28% rise. FEDERALBNK gained 1.39%, BANKBARODA added 1.25%, and AUBANK inched up 0.46%.

Nifty Next 50:

BAJAJHLDNG climbed 4.87%, DIVISLAB surged 4.59%, and DLF rose 3.11%. PNB and JSWENERGY also posted decent gains.

Meanwhile, ADANIENSOL fell 2.74%, NAUKRI lost 2.65%, and HAL declined by 2.18%. JINDALSTEL, VBL, and BPCL also ended in the red.

Foreign investors remained active in the market, with FII inflows touching ₹23,800 crore for the month so far. Analysts expect macro stability and easing global tensions to continue supporting market sentiment in the near term.

Nationwide Strike by Central Trade Unions
