NMDC Limited (NSE: NMDC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, has announced the appointment of Shri Amitava Mukherjee as its Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), effective March 6, 2025. The appointment is based on the Ministry of Steel’s order dated March 6, 2025, and Mr. Mukherjee will serve until his superannuation on February 29, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Shri Mukherjee, previously Director (Finance) at NMDC and holding the additional charge of CMD since March 2023, brings extensive experience to the role. An officer from the 1996 batch of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), he has served in key roles for the Government of India.
