Mumbai, – Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M), a diversified Indian conglomerate, has significantly increased its shareholding in its listed subsidiary, Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL), following the allotment of shares through MLL’s Rights Issue of Equity Shares.
This strategic move sees M&M’s stake in the integrated logistics provider climb from 57.97% to 59.60%.
Key Allotment Details Emerge
The latest development follows a crucial meeting of MLL’s Rights Issue Committee held today, 18 August 2025, which approved the allotment of 27,049,301 fully paid-up Equity Shares.
Out of this total, M&M has been allotted 17,300,670 fully paid-up Equity Shares. This allotment to M&M includes shares subscribed as part of its Rights Entitlement as well as additional shares applied for.
The shares were purchased at ₹277 per equity share in cash, comprising a premium of ₹267 over the face value of ₹10.
This increased investment translates into M&M’s total shareholding in MLL growing from 41,812,257 to 59,112,927 fully paid-up Equity Shares.
The move solidifies M&M’s commitment to its logistics arm, which operates as an integrated third-party logistics (3PL) service provider, specialising in supply chain management and enterprise mobility.
Strategic Investment in a Growing Sector
M&M first announced its plan on 17 July 2025, approving subscription to the entire Rights Entitlement and additional shares, including any unsubscribed portion, up to the full issue size.
This was subject to compliance with applicable laws, including Minimum Public Shareholding norms under the Securities Contract (Regulation) Rules, 1957, and SEBI’s Listing Regulations, 2015.
