The renewable energy sector has seen a significant movement, as Ceigall India Limited announced the receipt of a major Letter of Award (LOA) for a large-scale solar power initiative in Maharashtra.
The company received the Letter of Award, dated 02nd October 2025, from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd. (MSEDCL), which is a domestic entity.
This crucial contract designates Ceigall India Limited as the Solar Power Developer (SPD) responsible for setting up solar photovoltaic power generating stations. The project boasts an aggregate capacity of 147 MW (AC).
The awarded project is being executed under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 Scheme. Ceigall India is tasked with setting up these grid-connected solar power projects across two districts within the state of Maharashtra.
The scope of work is substantial, covering the construction of the 147 MW solar plant. The broad consideration, specifically the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) cost, is estimated at ₹597.00 Crore (including GST).
The contract involves both construction and long-term operation. The time period allocated for the execution of the work is 18 Months. Following completion, the company will operate, maintain, and supply the generated power for a substantial 25-year operational period.
This long-term commitment is secured through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that runs for 25 Years from the Schedule Commercial Operation Date.
The company highlighted that this intimation follows an earlier communication dated 07th September 2025 regarding the receipt of the Letter of Intent for the same project.
The intimation was signed by Megha Kainth, Company Secretary & Compliance officer, for Ceigall India Limited. The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
