L&T Water & Effluent Treatment Wins Design-Build-Operate Project in Guwahati

In a significant boost to its order book, Larsen & Toubro Limited (BSE: 500510) has secured a new contract from Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewage Board, according to a BSE regulatory filing.

The company’s Water & Effluent Treatment business vertical has won a design-build-operate order for a water management project in Assam.

The scope of work includes design, supply, installation, construction, testing, and commissioning of a barge-mounted intake system, raw water rising main, water treatment plant, reservoirs, booster pumping station, and distribution network with household service connections.

A fully integrated SCADA system for real-time monitoring and performance management, along with operation and maintenance for five years, are also part of the contract.

The project aims to deliver safe and continuous water supply to households in South-East Guwahati, improving the reliability of the city’s water system. The order win further strengthens L&T’s business presence in the northeast region and reaffirms its commitment to expanding its regional footprint and delivering sustainable, efficient water solutions.
