
Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a Rs 967 crore order from East Coast Railway, according to a BSE filing. The order is for the construction of a 3rd and 4th line between Nergundi-Barang and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram.
The project involves the construction of important bridges over rivers Birupa, Mahanadi, Kathjori, and Kuakhai.
The contract was awarded through a competitive bidding process, and RVNL emerged as the successful bidder. The order adds to RVNL‘s growing order book and strengthens its position in the railway infrastructure sector.
As part of the agreement, RVNL will construct the 3rd and 4th line between Nergundi-Barang (22Km) and Khurda Road-Vizianagaram (363Km) on the Bhadrak-Vizianagaram section (385Km). The project is expected to be completed within 1095 days.
The order is a significant win for RVNL and reinforces its capabilities in executing large-scale railway infrastructure projects.
