Bajel Projects Secures Lakadia‑Part A Transmission Win from PFC Consulting

AnantGrid Projects One Private Ltd, an associate of Bajel Projects, has been declared the successful bidder for the Lakadia‑Part A 765 kV inter‑state transmission project in Gujarat, according to a BSE filing dated 20 August 2026. The award comes via a Letter of Intent issued by PFC Consulting.

The project entails the construction of roughly 270 km of 765 kV double‑circuit transmission lines linking Halvad to Vadodara, together with upgrades at three substations – Halvad, Vadodara and South Olpad. Completion will enable evacuation of 7.5 GW from Lakadia Phase‑II, 5.5 GW from Jam Khambhaliya Phase‑II and 1 GW from Jamnagar Phase‑I.

The win follows the March 2026 collaboration between NIIF, Bajel Projects and AnantGrid, which pools NIIF’s capital, AnantGrid’s development expertise and Bajel’s EPC capabilities to pursue opportunities under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. The partnership targets high‑quality transmission assets that support India’s ambition of 500 GW renewable capacity by 2030.

Securing the Lakadia‑Part A contract adds a marquee project to Bajel’s pipeline and strengthens its position in the high‑voltage transmission segment. The deal underscores the effectiveness of the Bajel‑NIIF‑AnantGrid alliance in capturing strategic infrastructure work.

This award reinforces Bajel Projects as a leading player in India’s power transmission landscape, bolstering its growth trajectory in a sector critical to the country’s clean‑energy goals.
