
EPL Limited, the largest global specialty packaging company, announced the appointment of Mr. Hemant Bakshi as its new Managing Director and Global Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment, which was considered and approved by the Board of Directors on October 8, 2025, positions Mr. Bakshi to lead the company into its next phase of expansion.
Mr. Bakshi’s tenure as the Managing Director & Global Chief Executive Officer will officially begin on January 1, 2026.
This key managerial personnel (KMP) role is designated for a term of five years, pending approval from the Company’s Shareholders.
Before officially taking the top leadership role, Mr. Bakshi will join EPL as the Chief Executive Officer – Designate on October 13, 2025, and will hold this senior management personnel (SMP) position until December 31, 2025.
A Wealth of Consumer Goods Leadership:
Mr. Hemant Bakshi brings a stellar reputation and extensive experience, totaling over 30 years in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
His career includes three decades spent at Unilever, where he held various senior leadership roles across India and Indonesia.
Notably, his roles included serving as the CEO of Unilever Indonesia, which is a $3 billion public listed business, and later as the Non-executive Chairman of Unilever Indonesia.
During his time, he was recognized for driving consistent profitable growth, transforming go-to-market strategies, and leading diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Furthermore, Mr. Bakshi founded and led GroNext Technologies, a Unilever-funded venture that developed a B2B marketplace for traditional trade stores.
He successfully scaled this venture to 12 markets across Latin America, Asia, and Turkey, achieving over $1 billion in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV).
