JK Cement Ltd., a prominent player in the Indian cement industry, has announced a significant Green Field Expansion plan alongside crucial changes in its key managerial personnel.

These strategic decisions were deliberated and approved during the company’s Board Meeting (No. 5 of 2025) held on 15th August 2025, which commenced at 11:00 AM and concluded at 1:00 PM.

Monumental Greenfield Expansion Approved

The Board of Directors has given its nod to a substantial Green Field Expansion project, marking a significant step towards bolstering the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

This ambitious plan involves a new cement line with a total capacity of 7 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MnTPA). A 4 MnTPA clinkerization unit and a 3 MnTPA cement grinding unit, both located in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, will be the focal points of this expansion.

Further enhancing its reach and operational efficiency, the company plans to set up two additional split grinding units, each with a capacity of 2 MnTPA. These units will strategically be located in Rajasthan and Punjab. The total proposed investment for this comprehensive expansion initiative is estimated at Rs. 4805 Crores, underscoring JK Cement’s commitment to growth and market penetration.

Significant Changes in Key Managerial Personnel

The Board meeting also saw the announcement of pivotal changes within the company’s senior management and key managerial personnel. Mr. Shambhu Singh, who has diligently served as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer for over 17 years, will be superannuating.

His cessation from the role will be effective from the close of business hours on 31st October 2025, following his reaching the age of superannuation.

In his place, Ms. Bhumika Sood has been appointed as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective from 1st November 2025. Ms. Sood, who currently serves as the Deputy Company Secretary, will also assume the roles of Key Managerial Personnel and Senior Management Personnel.
