JSW Steel Limited delivered a strong operational performance in November 2025, reporting consolidated crude steel production of 24.39 Lakh tonnes.
This output represents robust year-over-year (YoY) growth, achieving a 5% increase compared to the 23.23 Lakh tonnes reported in November 2024.
The strong momentum was driven primarily by its domestic units. Production from Indian Operations reached 23.61 Lakh tonnes, also registering a 5% YoY increase from 22.53 Lakh tonnes. Additionally, JSW Steel USA – Ohio contributed 0.78 Lakh tonnes to the overall consolidated figure.
The company managed this growth despite temporary operational headwinds. The capacity utilisation for Indian operations during November was recorded at 84%, slightly lower due to a critical upgrade project underway at Vijayanagar.
Specifically, Blast Furnace 3 (BF3) has been shut down since the end of September 2025 to upgrade its capacity from 3 MTPA to 4.5 MTPA.
Crucially, when excluding the capacity under maintenance due to the BF3 shutdown, the capacity utilisation rate was approximately 93% for November 2025.
JSW Steel is recognised as India’s leading integrated steel company and is the flagship business of the diversified US$ 23 billion JSW Group.
The company currently maintains a consolidated crude steel capacity of 35.7 MTPA, which includes 1.5 MTPA in the US. Its next phase of expansion aims to increase consolidated capacity to 43.4 MTPA over the subsequent three years.
