KEC International Ltd., a global infrastructure Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) major and a flagship company of the RPG Group, announced today that it has secured new orders valued at Rs. 1,150 crores.
These significant orders span the company’s Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Civil businesses within India, and were received in the normal course of business.
The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) segment secured its largest-ever order in the India T&D business from a reputed private sector client. This substantial composite order is strategically focused on the evacuation of renewable energy.
The scope of the major T&D work includes the construction of a 765 kV transmission line and a 765/400 kV AIS substation, executed on a Lump Sum Turn Key (LSTK) basis.
Simultaneously, the Civil business segment successfully secured an order for additional civil and structural works for a 150 MW thermal power plant, awarded by a prominent private player.
This successful bid further increases KEC International‘s presence within the growing thermal power plant segment.
Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd., expressed enthusiasm regarding the order wins. He particularly highlighted the significance of the composite T&D order, noting that it has “substantially increased the share of private sector clients in our India T&D order book”.
These new contracts bolster KEC International’s impressive performance metrics, pushing the company’s Year-to-Date (YTD) order intake beyond Rs. 18,000 crores.
Mr. Kejriwal stated that this intake reaffirms the company’s confidence in achieving its targeted annual order intake.
