
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has successfully executed a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat.
This strategic agreement outlines the development of significant renewable energy capacity within the state, signalling a substantial boost to India’s green energy targets.
The MoU focuses on a combined capacity target of 15 GW (gigawatts).
This ambitious portfolio is split between two primary technologies: the development of Solar Parks and Projects with a cumulative capacity of 10 GW, and the installation of Wind Projects totaling 5 GW in Gujarat.
This partnership is a key initiative aimed at accelerating renewable energy penetration and enhancing the state’s sustainable power matrix.
The signing was a highlight of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, which was hosted at Mehsana, Gujarat.
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) formally notified the stock exchanges regarding this material development.
