New Delhi – Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced a revision to its Marginal Cost of Funds Based Lending Rates (MCLR), with the new rates scheduled to become effective from 1 September 2025.
This adjustment, communicated on 30 August 2025, reflects a general reduction across various lending tenors, which could influence the cost of borrowing for certain loan products linked to the MCLR.
For shorter durations, the Overnight MCLR has been adjusted to 8.00%, marking a decrease from its previous rate of 8.15%. Similarly, the One Month MCLR is now set at 8.25%, down from 8.30%, while the Three Month MCLR has been revised to 8.45% from 8.50%.
Moving to longer tenors, the Six Month MCLR will be 8.65%, a reduction from 8.70%, the One Year MCLR is now 8.80%, down from 8.85%, and the Three Years MCLR stands at 9.10%, compared to its earlier rate of 9.15%.
Additionally, other major lending rates have remained unchanged. The existing Repo Linked Lending Rate (RLLR) will continue at 8.35%, which includes a spread of 0.10% (BSP).
Furthermore, the Base Rate also remains constant at 9.50%. This adjustment in MCLR, an internal benchmark for the bank, is a routine disclosure made by financial institutions to stock exchanges, providing transparency on changes to their lending rate structures.
