Sigachi Industries Appoints Atul Dhavle as Chief People Officer

Sigachi Industries Ltd., a prominent global manufacturer of pharmaceutical excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has officially appointed Atul Dhavle as its new Chief People Officer (CPO).

The appointment, which became effective on 3 January 2026, marks a significant move to strengthen the company’s human capital strategy as it pursues ambitious long-term growth objectives.

Dhavle brings nearly 30 years of extensive experience in strategic human capital leadership, backed by an educational foundation from XLRI-Jamshedpur and Nagpur University.

He joins Sigachi from Granules India Limited, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer and spearheaded transformation initiatives across manufacturing, R&D, and corporate sectors.

His distinguished career also includes senior leadership roles at major organisations such as Bharat Forge, Dr. Reddy’s, DuPont Fibres, and Mahindra.

In his new capacity, Dhavle will collaborate closely with the Board and leadership team to refine organisational design and align talent development with business priorities.

This role is deemed critical as Sigachi continues to expand across diverse businesses, geographies, and operating models. Lijo Chacko, Deputy Group CEO of Sigachi Industries, noted that Dhavle’s expertise in building scalable leadership systems in complex environments will be a vital asset for reinforcing the company’s culture and supporting sustainable growth.

With 36 years of industry experience, Sigachi Industries operates five multi-locational facilities across Telangana, Gujarat, and Karnataka. The company serves as a trusted partner for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical firms in over 65 countries, maintaining a strong focus on innovation, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The appointment of Dhavle reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to building a future-ready enterprise grounded in transparency and long-term value creation.

To better understand this appointment, consider Dhavle as a master architect for the company’s workforce; just as an architect ensures a building’s structure is robust enough to support new floors as it grows, he is tasked with designing the human systems that will allow Sigachi to scale globally without losing its integrity.
