Suzlon Group, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, has announced a significant new order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL). The company has secured its largest order for the 2026 fiscal year (FY26), a project totalling 838 MW.

This agreement marks a major milestone for Suzlon, representing its second-largest order ever received.

The project is part of a Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) initiative, highlighting the growing importance of such systems in India’s goal to achieve round-the-clock, grid-stable clean power.

The collaboration between the two Indian companies underscores a joint effort to advance 24/7 clean energy through innovative, “Made in India” wind solutions.

The project will be executed across three states, with strategic locations in Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW).

Suzlon will supply 266 of its S144 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, for the project. This is the third order Suzlon has received from Tata Power, reinforcing a partnership that has spanned over a decade.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group, commented on the long-standing relationship, stating, “As Tata Power Renewable Energy embarks on a strategic transformation to achieve 100% clean power by 2045, we’re proud to support this ambitious journey with our advanced, ‘Made in India’ wind technology”.

He added that the partnership reflects a shared commitment to India’s energy transition and creating reliable energy solutions designed to integrate with India’s “One Grid system”.

JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of the Suzlon Group, also praised the partnership, noting that TPREL demands the highest standards of technology and reliability. “The fact that Suzlon continues to be their partner of choice reflects our ability to align with this vision through proven, ‘Made in India’ innovation and execution excellence,” Chalasani stated.
