Suzlon and Jindal Renewables Strengthen Collaboration by Adding 302.4 MW Wind Project

A major step has been made by Suzlon Wind Energy’s parent company, Suzlon Group, in further deepening its bond with Jindal Renewables with an additional wind energy capacity of 302.4 MW in Koppal in Karnataka. This extension increases the overall Jindal Renewables’ commercial and industrial (C&I) order to 702.4 MW which is the largest order placed by a single entity in the Indian market.

This agreement reinforces the commitment of both parties to green steel production in India. Meanwhile, last month Jindal Renewables also ordered 400 MW wind project from Suzlon to be built in the same area, the latest in a series of progressive partnerships in the sustainable energy sector.

As part of the latest deal, Suzlon will provide 96umber of wind turbine Gensets with rated specification of 3.15 MW each. The Seabird Energy Formed company will deliver steel for the power generating plants in Chhattisgarh and Odisha and thus helping in the decarbonization process of the steel industry.

Thus, with this strategic investment, Suzlon remains focused towards India’s green energy development and continues to set the standards for the industry with sustainable development policies.
