Infrastructure specialist Niraj Cement Structurals Limited (JV) has reached a significant milestone by securing a new work order from Western Railway valued at ₹46.52 Crores, including GST.
The contract, a domestic project, focuses on critical railway expansion and connectivity in the Gujarat region.
The scope of the project is extensive and includes the quadrupling of the line between Gandhidham (GIM) and Adipur (AI). A key highlight of the contract is the construction of a Y-connection at Adipur, which is strategically designed to provide direct entry towards Mundra Port and Bhuj.
Over a length of 10 km, the company will execute various tasks, including earthworks, the construction of major and minor bridges, RCC box bridges, and a high-level passenger platform at Gopalpur.
Further technical details of the project include:
- Track Infrastructure: Laying and linking of tracks, including P-way related works and the supply of ballast.
- Structural Works: Construction of Toe walls, Retaining walls, side drains, and protection works like stone pitching.
- Execution Timeline: The entire project is scheduled to be completed within a period of 18 months.
From a corporate governance perspective, the company has clarified that the promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity and the contract is not classified as a related party transaction.
This win reinforces Niraj Cement’s position as a key player in India’s domestic transport infrastructure sector.
