BCPL Secures Major Rail Contract as Lowest Bidder for ₹789.77 Million RVNL Project

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has successfully emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for a major railway infrastructure project, securing the contract from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), PIU-Secundrabad-Electrical.

The announcement, made on 22 November 2025, highlights a significant development that falls within the company’s normal course of business.

The project involves substantial work for Indian Railways and has a broad consideration or size valued at Rs. 789.77 million (Including GST).

The scope of work, identified under Tender No. RVNL-SC-RVD-DVD-OHE-SLT, is highly technical. It specifies the “Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning for OHE upgradation of existing 1X25kV system to 2X25kV AT feeding system with feeder and earthing works”.

This essential modernization project is focused on the Vijayawada Division under the South Central Railway. The work spans the Ravikampadu (Excl) to Duvvada (Incl) sections, covering a distance of 100 Route Kilometres (RKM) or 191 Track Kilometres (TKM).

The order was awarded by a domestic entity (Indian Railways). BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited is required to execute the work within a stipulated time period of 18 Months. The contract is subject to General Contract Conditions.

This successful bid reinforces BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited’s strong presence in major Indian railway electrification and upgrade projects.
