Flomic Global Logistics Successfully Executes $3 Million Steel Plant Transport to Nigeria

Flomic Global Logistics Ltd., a prominent player in the integrated logistics and freight forwarding sector, has announced the successful execution of a high-value, complex project involving the transport of a complete steel melting plant from India to Nigeria.

This milestone underscores the company’s expanding capabilities in handling specialized heavy industrial cargo on a global scale.

The operation involved the transportation of a full production line for a 500 TPD DRI (Sponge Iron) plant. Originating from the Mumbai Old Port and delivered to Lagos, Nigeria, the shipment consisted of 115 packages with a staggering total gross weight of 850,595 kilograms.

Valued at approximately USD 3.04 million, the cargo was shipped under CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) terms.

The specialized machinery and installation accessories were transported aboard the vessel MV Ultra Agulhas, requiring precision coordination and rigorous supervision of lashing and on-ground operations to ensure secure transit.

Founded in 1988 and listed on the BSE, Flomic operates an asset-light, scalable logistics platform. The company has built a robust infrastructure that includes:

  • A pan-India network of 30 branches and over 25 warehouses.
  • A portfolio of 5,000+ active customers across SME and enterprise segments.
  • A strong performance record, having handled over 32,000 shipments in the nine months leading up to December 2025.

This latest success in the West African market demonstrates Flomic’s ability to support large-scale industrial projects and global trade, positioning the company as a reliable partner for complex supply chain solutions.
