L&T Awarded Phase-2 Hyderabad Radial Road Infrastructure Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has further solidified its dominance in the infrastructure sector by securing a contract for the development of the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road.

This latest mandate, awarded to the company’s Transportation Infrastructure business, involves the critical Phase-2 construction in the Ranga Reddy district. Classified by the company as a “Significant” project, the contract carries a substantial valuation ranging between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, marking a major addition to the engineering giant’s order book as of December 29, 2025.

The ambitious project focuses on the construction of a 22.3 km, 3+3 lane access-controlled radial road designed to streamline regional transit and modernise the city’s outskirts. L&T’s responsibilities under this contract are extensive, encompassing the building of a 3.6 km long viaduct alongside various minor bridges, underpasses, and culverts.

Furthermore, the infrastructure major will develop service roads on both sides of the main carriageway and implement comprehensive storm water drainage systems, retention structures, and modern urban amenities such as footpaths, cycle tracks, and landscaping to ensure a holistic development.

This development is particularly noteworthy as it serves as the inaugural link in a series of planned radial roads intended to connect Hyderabad’s existing Outer Ring Road with the forthcoming Regional Ring Road. By bridging these key corridors, the project is poised to drastically improve regional connectivity and support socio-economic growth.

Specifically, the new road will provide enhanced access to vital commercial and educational zones, including major IT hubs, Electronic City, the Young India Skills University, and the emerging Bharat Future City.

L&T’s successful bid for this project underscores its eight-decade-long legacy and its current status as a USD 30 billion Indian multinational. The company continues to lead in EPC projects, high-tech manufacturing, and various services across global geographies.

This latest win reinforces L&T’s reputation for delivering top-class quality and its customer-focused approach, which have collectively allowed it to maintain a dominant position in the global infrastructure landscape.
