In a significant boost to India’s domestic aviation and defence sector, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has officially announced the signing of a major contract with Pawan Hans Ltd. The deal, formalised in Hyderabad, involves the supply of 10 Dhruv NG Helicopters, alongside associated spares and accessories.

Investors should take note of the substantial scale of this agreement. The estimated contract value is cited as exceeding Rs. 1,800 Crore.

This domestic contract represents a primary move for HAL as it continues to solidify its role as a leading Maharatna CPSE in the aerospace industry.

The project is set on a fast track for completion. According to official filings, the entire order is expected to be executed and completed by 2027.

This timeline highlights HAL’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for advanced rotary-wing aircraft in the domestic market.

Maintaining high standards of corporate governance, HAL confirmed that the contract does not involve any interests from the promoter or promoter group companies.

Furthermore, the deal is not classified as a related party transaction, ensuring that the agreement was reached at an “arm’s length”.
