The total cost of this project is estimated to be approximately ₹1,512 Crores. While IREDA’s loan covers the majority of the cost, the company plans to fund the remaining ₹378 Crores through its own internal accruals.

This move is a key part of the company’s strategic plan for backward and forward integration across the solar energy value chain.

By manufacturing solar cells, the company is taking a significant step in its backward integration journey, gaining more control over its supply chain.

Looking ahead, the group has set ambitious targets for the next two years, aiming for a total cumulative manufacturing capacity of:

  • 7 GW in PV Module Manufacturing
  • 4.5 GW in Solar Cell Manufacturing
