RailTel Corporation of India Ltd., a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has announced a significant expansion of its international footprint.
The company has secured a major work order from the Ministry of External Affairs to provide project implementation services abroad.
The contract involves the establishment of a Data Centre inside the existing building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, located in Addis Ababa.
This international project highlights RailTel’s growing expertise in providing critical digital infrastructure on a global scale.
Key Financials and Timeline The total size of the work order is valued at ₹19,83,74,494 (approximately ₹19.84 crore). According to the official filing, RailTel is expected to execute and complete the project by 25 December 2029.
The company received the formal work order on 26 December 2025. RailTel further clarified that the contract does not involve any related party transactions, nor do the promoter or promoter groups have any interest in the entity awarding the contract.
This disclosure was submitted by J.S. Marwah, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The notification was issued with the approval of the Executive Director (ED/CO) as a computer-generated advice.
