The Suzlon Group and Yanara have substantially extended their strategic partnership, signing two new contracts for wind projects totaling 306 MW, destined for Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects in Barmer, Rajasthan,.
This significant announcement represents two repeat orders secured from Yanara within a single year.
The collaboration involves two separate 153 MW contracts. Suzlon is set to supply and install a total of 102 state-of-the-art S144 wind turbine generators (WTGs), each rated at 3 MW, featuring hybrid lattice towers,.
These turbines will contribute power to Yanara’s aggregated FDRE projects in Barmer, which total about 800 MWp. The generated power will partially fulfill Yanara’s power purchase agreements with major utilities, including NTPC and NHPC.
Suzlon is currently consolidating its market leadership in Rajasthan, where it already commands a 44% market share of the state’s 5.2 GW wind capacity,.
The company has played a key role in establishing Rajasthan as a leading renewable energy hub in India, and it is simultaneously executing other large engineering, procurement, and construction projects in the state totaling 791 MW,.
Yanara, a pioneering leader focused on advancing renewable energy across the Asia Pacific region, is expanding its pioneering multi-technology clean energy portfolio,. Yanara is committed to delivering round-the-clock clean power by building grid-scale hybrid projects that integrate solar, wind, and energy storage solutions,.
This commitment furthers India’s national goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil energy capacity by 2030.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of the Suzlon Group, affirmed the strength of the relationship, stating that collaborations like this are vital for driving India’s energy transition.
He noted that these repeat orders underscore the strength and decades of trust in the partnership, which now spans projects from Maharashtra to Rajasthan,.
Jerome Ortiz, Chief Executive Officer of Yanara, highlighted that the multi-technology nature of Yanara’s portfolio requires trusted partners capable of delivering at scale, a strength exemplified by Suzlon,. JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, added that their indigenous, “Made-in-India” turbines are engineered and tested to ensure reliability and maximum energy output across their lifecycle, a necessity in environments like Rajasthan’s high ambient temperatures,.
Yanara’s CEO for India, Naveen Khandelwal, recognized Rajasthan as a strategic market due to its rich wind and solar potential and supportive project development policies, emphasizing that the partnership advances India’s energy transition through high-quality solutions,.
