In a significant move to redefine enterprise software engineering, Wipro Limited has announced a strategic partnership with Factory, a pioneer in agent-native software development.

This collaboration is set to bring autonomous, AI-driven development to global enterprises, marking a shift from simple AI experimentation to production-scale adoption.

The partnership centers on Factory’s platform, which utilizes specialized AI agents known as “Droids”. These Droids are designed to handle substantial portions of the software development lifecycle, including feature development, testing, refactors, and migrations.

By delegating these tasks to AI, engineering teams can significantly increase their efficiency while maintaining strict architectural consistency and engineering standards.

Wipro plans to integrate Factory’s capabilities into its WEGA agent-native delivery platform, a core component of the Wipro Intelligence™ suite.

The rollout is ambitious: Factory will be deployed across tens of thousands of Wipro engineers, aiming to shorten innovation cycles and enhance code quality for clients in sectors such as banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.

Beyond the technical partnership, Wipro Ventures, the company’s $500 million corporate investment arm, confirmed its participation in Factory’s recent funding round. Factory, which was founded in 2023, is already backed by high-profile investors including NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, and J.P. Morgan.

“Our investment reinforces Factory’s strength as an enterprise-grade AI platform,” stated Ali Wasti, Managing Partner at Wipro Ventures.

He emphasized that the move aligns with Wipro’s commitment to backing cutting-edge technologies that help enterprises innovate faster under pressure.

Sandhya Arun, Chief Technology Officer at Wipro, noted that AI is fundamentally reshaping how software is built. By moving toward “safe, production-grade autonomous agents,” Wipro intends to help its global workforce and its clients modernize at an accelerated pace.

Matan Grinberg, CEO of Factory, added that the combination of Wipro’s deep engineering expertise and Factory’s AI-native platform creates a “powerful foundation” for organizations looking to drastically improve their software delivery performance.
