Hyundai Motor India Limited has started the year 2026 on a historic high, reporting its highest-ever total monthly sales of 73,137 units.
This milestone represents a robust 11.5% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to the previous year. The company, which is currently celebrating thirty years in India, continues to solidify its position as a dominant force in both domestic and international markets.
The domestic market remains a powerhouse for the brand, with HMIL recording its highest-ever monthly domestic sales of 59,107 units in January 2026.
This achievement marks a 9.5% YoY growth. This surge was fueled by exceptional performances from specific models in the Hyundai lineup:
- VENUE: Achieved its highest-ever monthly sales with 12,413 units.
- AURA: Also reached a new peak with 7,978 units sold.
Beyond Indian borders, Hyundai’s global appeal continues to widen. The company reported a significant 20.9% YoY growth in exports, contributing 14,030 units to the total January tally.
This growth highlights the increasing trust and demand for the brand across global markets.
Commenting on the record-breaking start to the year, Mr. Tarun Garg, MD & CEO of HMIL, described January 2026 as a “defining chapter” for the company. He attributed the success to “the collective strength of our people, partners and customers” and emphasized that the company remains committed to “shaping the future of mobility in India”.
