Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), a \$30 billion Indian multinational, announced today that its Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical has secured significant new contracts, categorized by the company as “Major” orders.
This development, disclosed to the stock exchanges (BSE Stock Code: 500510; NSE Stock Code: LT), underscores L&T’s sustained leadership in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) sector.
The classification of these new contracts as “Major” is highly relevant for investors. According to L&T’s own definitions, a “Major” project carries a value ranging between ₹ 5,000 Crore and ₹ 10,000 Crore.
The securing of orders in this high-value bracket is expected to reinforce L&T’s track record in delivering complex, large-scale projects. The B&F vertical secured two key contracts in India:
1. Bengaluru IT Park Development:
L&T secured a substantial order from a reputed Multinational Corporation (MNC) to develop one of the largest proposed IT Parks in Bengaluru.
This project spans a massive 5.9 million square feet and will be executed on a Lumpsum Turnkey (LSTK) basis, delivered in two distinct phases.
The scope of work is extensive, covering civil structure works, finishes, and architectural lighting. Critically, the development is designed for sustainability, aiming for the USGBC New Building – Platinum rating towards LEED Certification.
The construction involves developing six towers (Towers 1 through 6), each comprising 14 storeys (three common basement floors, ground level, 10 floors, and a terrace).
